This week we have been experimenting with new probiotics and enzyme dosages. Action Boy has had a rash on his cheeks and mouth since Christmas week when he had the flu. I remembered that we had started a new probiotic about the same time he got sick so I pulled that one and also stopped enzymes for a couple of days. I started him on a vegan probiotic and did a fair amount of reading on enzymes while I figured out what I wanted to do. What I came up with was the TriEnza he’s taking might not be enough on the phenol protection– I know for sure that Action Boy is incredibly sensitive to salicylates so I ordered some NoPhenol and plan to add that to the TriEnza he’s getting with food.
The other change was moving him into his own little bed. He was sleeping up in Star Girl’s loft (she moved into a mattress on the floor while we decide what kind of bed she’s going to want next). The loft was great for Action Boy while he was still in diapers as it was like a big crib and he couldn’t get out to the floor to bang his head. Now that he’s potty training we needed to give him his own space that allows him the freedom to go to the bathroom when he needs to go. So, a little twin bed from Ikea was purchased at New Years and he’s been in it for about a week now. He has moved to the floor to bang his head a couple of times but he seems to understand that is NOT allowed in this room. I’m hoping he will learn to sleep in the bed– and even under covers one day! What a novel idea.
Here are the meals I am planning for this week.
Breakfasts:
Cashew Waffles- Action Boy would live on these if I let him. They are good for breakfast and snacks on the go.
Chicken Sausage- probably will do this once with waffles, once with scrambled eggs and once in an omelet
Home Made Bacon (I’ll do a post about this soon) – once with waffles and once with eggs
Lunches:
Leftovers from dinner
Dinners:
40 Garlic Chicken and Butternut Squash
Bean Soup and Faux Cornbread Muffins
Chicken Nuggets and Green Beans
Salmon and Asparagus
Hamburgers and Roasted Carrots
